Alana Asch

I grew up as a female athlete. I also grew up struggling with anxiety. Eventually, that anxiety manifested itself as anorexia, followed by a period of binging and over-exercising, followed by drug and alcohol addiction. Today, I am in recovery from my eating disorder and addictions. I am also a certified strength and conditioning coach with a Master’s degree in exercise physiology. I am passionate about teaching young female athletes how to strengthen their minds and bodies. Despite all that, I still have anxiety. However I do not let that anxiety control my life anymore. Instead, when I am not coaching, I enjoy hikes with my dog, reading, learning, creating things, and spending time with people I care about.
