Carolina Gaviria, LMHC, NCC
Carolina Gaviria, LMHC, NCC is a Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor with over 16 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and children with eating disorders, negative body image, self-harm, anger management and other struggles that range from depression and anxiety to trauma and addictions. She also has experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism, Asperger’s syndrome, ADD/ADHD and other developmental disorders. Carolina offers in person sessions and teletherapy and her empathy and ability to connect with her clients create a safe and authentic environment that promotes personal growth and healing. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy principles (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she guides her clients through the path of self-discovery, teaching them new ways to cope with emotions and self-regulate, reach personal goals and feel happier. Carolina is fluent in English, Spanish and German and she operates as the treasurer for the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp). She loves her family and her work, her dog, yoga and traveling. She is also a published author and has presented at national and international conferences on eating disorders, depression, anxiety and stress management.
