Kelly Orner Toney, LMSW, is a clinical social worker who provides individual, family & group therapy for the treatment of eating disorder. She founded, ED the Voice, an organization working to unite people who are dedicated to ending the body shaming culture and prevent eating disorders. She currently serves as the Primary Therapist for an eating disorder Intensive Outpatient Program in South Carolina. Kelly uses a strengths-based, experiential approach grounded in shame resilience theory & family systems. Kelly’s current passion is working to develop more creative & diverse, evidenced based, treatment options that will accommodate persons struggling with food & body image issues at all levels of care, through the whole recovery process. Kelly has a passion for this work because she heard the “E.D.” voice too! Kelly has been in recovery from an eating disorder for the past 10 years. Kelly uses ED the Voice, her blog, to help support people in recovery & there family members by providing tools, education, and uniting a community to learn about eating disorders and empower everyone to Love their Body, Find their Voice, and Be Authentic.
