Marissa Sappho, LCSW, BCD, CEDS
Marissa Sappho, LCSW, BCD, CEDS, is the Founder & Director of Clinical Services at Aurora Behavioral Health, a comprehensive mindfulness-yoga-therapy-based eating disorder treatment center in New York City. Marissa holds the title of Adjunct Professor at New York University in their graduate school of social work, and is Faculty and Supervisor at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia (CSAB), where she also serves on the Advisory Board and the Executive Committee. Marissa has published and presented nationally and internationally on Binge Eating Disorder. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, a Master of Clinical Social Work degree, and is an advanced standing PhD candidate presently working on her dissertation. Marissa is a Board Certified Diplomate in Psychoanalysis and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
