Paula Jewell

Paula Jewell

Paula Jewell is a certified Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner, children's author, and Trainer & Animal Specialist at The Equine Psychotherapy Institute. After a career in human services, specializing in homelessness and family violence, Paula transitioned into the world of farmed animal rescue. This trajectory brought Paula up close and personal with the innate wisdom of animals and developed her appreciation for the individual life and story of every human and animal she encounters. Most importantly, Paula is a perfectly imperfect human, who has overcome many life's challenges and developed a passion for supporting others to do the same. Her children's book My Body, My Friend supports children to recognize and connect with their body and feelings, supporting emotional intelligence, building mental health, and fostering resilience.
