Stefany Hirschfeld

My name is Stefany Hirschfeld, I’m a 25 year old English teacher in Massachusetts. I have struggled with my relationship with food ever since I was in 3rd grade. Originally, I just thought that every kid’s favorite part of the holiday’s was the baked goods. Then, as the pressures of society crept in through media and some outspoken peers, my obsession with food and the shame I felt about my body became the perfect storm for my bulimia to surface in college. Now, I manage my behaviors with therapy, Recovery Warriors, a strong support system, and writing.
