A Very Happy Birthday To Our Founder and CEO, Jessica Raymond

We’re not going to wait to celebrate you until you’re dead! – my great aunt Josie

Last October, my family had a huge surprise party for one of my great aunts. Throughout the night family and friends told took the microphone to tell her how much they cared about her, tell funny stories, and even recite poetry about her. Photos of her decorated the room and one family member even performed a special dance for my great aunt.

Why do we wait?

The whole night, I had a weird feeling that the night almost seemed like a funeral service, except my aunt was still alive. Oddly, it seems like we often wait for things like funerals to actually celebrate people and tell them how much we love and appreciate them.

That’s what my aunt was talking about in the opening quote. We tend to think about grateful we are for people, but we don’t always say it or show it. We might be waiting until it seems like the “right time”. Or we just assume they already know.

Why do we try to hold in our true feeling? We should be taking every chance we can get to tell people how special and wonderful they truly are.

Today is the perfect day

And that is what today is about. Since it is her birthday, today is the perfect day to honor the founder and CEO of Recovery Warriors, Jessica Flint. She has dedicated her whole life to the mission of helping people with food and body issues find true freedom. In doing so, she has impacted countless lives for the better. If it wasn’t for Jessica, Recovery Warriors wouldn’t even exist!

So, today, we aren’t waiting! Here are a few birthday messages for Jessica to tell her just how special she is.

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Love from Mirjam

Happy happy birthday, Jess!

I’m so grateful our paths crossed 3 years ago. You have changed my life in so many ways.

I remember the countless nights of brainstorming ideas, talking about our pets, love, and life and visualizing how to reach (and help) those who are looking for support and motivation. I’m proud of all the things we have accomplished and built together and look forward to seeing all the beautiful things you continue to build in the future.

I treasure our friendship and know in my heart that it will last a lifetime. You a beautiful woman, inside and out and your soul inspires countless beings out there.

Keep being the amazing person that you are, chicka. I love you. Happy birthday!!!!

May our paths cross again so we can celebrate our friendship while sipping a Mai Tai.

Love,

Mirjam

Happy birthday to a true warrior

There are many types of people in this world- teachers, seekers, fighters, lovers, workers, and givers.

It is rare that a woman comes along who embodies all of these qualities, but when she does, she is called a Warrior. That is what you are Jessica… a warrior.

Your hard work and dedication to Recovery Warriors helped me find a calling to live free. No words could do justice to the gratitude that I and countless others feel… but I will say this- I am so glad this day exists.

God knew what He was doing when He brought you to this earth. You are a warrior for those who need to feel fought for; you have taught so many to fight for themselves.

Thank you, Jessica. And happiest of birthdays to you!

❤️,

Brooke Heberling

Love from Shauna

Dearest Jessica,

I am forever grateful for you and the way you have changed my life for the better.

You have such a unique ability to make people feel important and appreciated. I so admire your determination, big heart and work ethic.

And thank you for all the priceless memories you have given me. Have a feeling I will be the old lady who will forever retell the same stories of morning “healing river” walks, vision board making, coffee at the Trident, the Boulder library, embarrassing moments in front of cute Spanish men, and delicious meals at Thrive.

Thank you for allowing me to step into your vision and be a part of Recovery Warriors. I am so excited for what’s to come.

For all you warriors reading this, know that Jessica is even more awesome than you think she is.

Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Brightest blessings,

Shauna
