A Poem: PEEKABOO!

Peekaboo

I see you

In the back of my mind.

You covered your eyes,

But that wasn’t a great disguise,

Because you weren’t too hard to find.

Peekaboo

I hear you

Whispering in my ear.

You used to shout

So I kicked you out.

Now what are you doing here?

Peekaboo

I feel you

Slowly slithering in.

You are quite stealthy,

Telling me I’m unhealthy

And should just be bone and skin.

Peekaboo

I hear you

And you’re getting rather loud.

But I’ve had enough

And I’ve gotten pretty tough,

So I will stand unbowed.
