Tips for a Healthier Relationship with Food

Paleo diets, 14-day cleanses, Biggest Loser challenges, gluten-free diets. This is a short list of the noise we hear about nutrition on a daily basis. It’s hard to decide what to eat with so much nutrition information. And figuring that out when you are disconnected from or do not trust your own internal instincts is next to impossible.

In this video blog, I share with you the attunement model developed by therapist Catherine Cook-Cottone PhD. I believe this model is a helpful tool for you to get clearer on what steps you need to take in order to develop a healthier relationship to food, exercise, and your body. My biggest take home tip of the day:

Decrease the external noise and make room to truly listen to what your own internal healthy voice has to say.

If you aren’t able to hear that healthy voice, consider enlisting the help of a skilled and reliable therapist and dietitian.

So I’d like to hear from you, Recovery Warriors!  After you watch this video, share with us one thing you plan to do to turn up the volume of and heal your authentic self.

And don’t forget, I love questions and ideas for future video blogs!
